The Taylor Cowl Arrived Early

If you've been following my work on Instagram, you'll see that I intended to publish the Cartecay Cowl before this one. But since the Taylor Cowl is a simpler pattern, the timing worked out to publish it first! I think as I write more patterns, I'll get the whole timing thing down. ;)

The cowl is made with sport-weight yarn held double, which produces the beautiful marled effect. There's even a subtle stitch pattern which makes it more interesting.

Confession: prior to knitting, I had never worn a cowl. I have a collection of scarves (with two ends) hanging in my closet, but no cowls. I'm not sure why. But now that they're one of my favorite things to knit, and I find them completely stylish, I may not be seen without one this fall and winter!

Do you have a preference for one over the other? I've been tossing the idea of designing a scarf, so if scarves are your thing and you'd like to share your thoughts for a future pattern, leave a comment and let me know. I'd love to hear them.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the Taylor Cowl. If you're fairly new to knitting this would be a great pattern to try. Even if you make it too wide, it's still going to drape nicely. 😁
